Changes to Rouse Hill

Council has adopted a Masterplan for Edwards Road in the Rouse Hill Industrial Zone. These changes are quite important and will shape the direction of this employment precinct.

The two major changes are in zoning and in minimum lot sizes. The change in zoning allow greater flexibility of uses and now include commercial premises.

Previoulsy the minimum lot sizes was 8,000sqm and this has been reduced in places to 2,500sqm. This will result in smaller users having an ability to occupy their own premises rather than being a part of the strata environment.

While this still needs to be gazetted in the Local Environment Plan (LEP), this is an encouraging step for the region to help attract businesses to this growing part of Sydney.
